Nilofer and Jawad’s Nikkah and Reception

Like clockwork, I would run into Nilofer every year at the RIS convention after meeting her through a mutual friend a few years back. I was thrilled when she asked me to cover her Nikkah and reception as it is always nice to work with people you know.

We had the Masjid all to ourselves so that gave us a measure of creative freedom.  Plus, the height difference between Nilofer and Jawad made for some fun pictures as well.  The pictures at the tail end of this post are from the wedding reception; never a dull moment.

I hope you like what you see.

Rabia & Samee’s Reception

Here it is – the first wedding set of the season! I’m very thankful that I got to start off the year with a truly wonderful couple. I mean how many photographers are invited to have dinner at the newlyweds’ table?

Couldn’t have started the year off in a better fashion. It was an honor to document your big day. I hope you like what you see.

SPEAKout at the Art Gallery of Hamilton

SPEAKout slams provide me with a welcomed change of gear. This time around, it was held at the Art Gallery of Hamilton and the performances were enthralling. It seems that the talent is constantly increasing with each slam. I was surprised at the wide range of topics that were brought to the mic. Everything from Alzheimer’s to war.

Looking for a change of pace? To be immersed in positive vibes or just to be uplifted?  Then come to the next SPEAKout slam; you won’t be disappointed.

Hope you like what you see.

Meher and Tanzil’s Post Reception Photoshoot

The adage “Good things happen to good people” continues to ring true. Tanzil is, without a doubt, one of the nicest guys I know and mashaAllah something really good happened to him: Meher.

May you two be blessed.

Hope you like what you see.

Nusrat and Nadeem’s Photoshoot and Reception

The photoshoot took place at Port Credit Lakeshore in Mississauga. This particular spot is a place I am rather fond of and what happened during this photoshoot has only increased my fondness for it. At some point during the photoshoot the bridal party had to walk past the patio of a restaurant right by the water. As we walked pass, almost everyone cheered and shouted out congratulations and best wishes. I love my city!

Thank you Nusrat and Nadeem for allowing me to document your big day. It was a pleasure.

I hope you like what you see.
