Many people have ask me how I got into photography. To my friends, it seemed a bit strange, seeing that I am a mechanical engineer. The first SLR I bought was a Canon Rebel. I bought it simply because I wanted to buy a new toy. In the back of my head I figured I would play around with the camera for a little while and then eventually store it in a drawer somewhere and let it collect dust.
So, I took the Rebel with me to a couple events and posted the images on Facebook. My dear friends said that they loved the images and that I should keep shooting. I am pretty sure that the pictures did not deserve the praise that I was getting but fueled by the blind faith of my friends I continued to cover various events and I eventually realized that I truly loved being a photographer.
I consider myself very lucky to have found something that I love to do every day.
I'd like to thank everyone that has helped me on my ongoing journey. I cherish the pats on the head I get from my parents while editing, the encouraging words from my friends and all the high fives, props handshakes and what's up nods.
Wouldn't be here without you.
