MIST 2012 Reconnecting our Hearts to Home – Awards Ceremony

Good lord! I know, “late” is an understatement at this point. My sincere apologies for taking this long to post these pictures. The 2013 set shouldn’t take this long iA.

A big thank you to the volunteers and execs that invite me each year to cover MIST, it’s always an honor.

I posted pictures of the award winners here.

I hope you like what you see.

Great Set! makes me want to be there!

Raisa & Osman’s Photoshoot

Thankfully, I have been blessed with the opportunity of covering a fair bit of weddings the last couple of years. With that being said, I have grown accustomed to working with an ever changing wedding itinerary. With so many variables, most events never adhere to the original plan. However, Raisa and Osman’s wedding and photoshoot were a refreshing exception. Their punctuality was almost military grade and I loved every minute of it.

The photoshoot was done at Erindale park; we just picked a random path and took pictures as we walked. Presumably my most relaxing shoot yet.

Hope you like what you see.

And one from the wedding!

Yasmin & Amr’s Wedding

I loved absolutely everything about this wedding! The venue, families, food, ambiance, atire, and lets not forget the stunning couple! An added bonus: Frank Sinatra songs played while the guests mingled. Perfect. Needless to say, I had an amazing time covering this wedding.

Yasmin and Amr, you are two of the kindest people I have met; may you both be blessed.

I hope you like what you see.

SPEAKout: Ideas Worth Rhyming

In terms of weddings, 2012 has been my busiest year yet. So much so that I’ve made friends with the serving staff at Chandni and Payal. Don’t get me wrong, I love covering weddings and interacting with couples and their families, but it can be exhausting. This is why I appreciate SPEAKout events so much; they allow me to switch gears and do something different.

This event was different than regular SPEAKout events; it was a spoken word festival. Spoken word artists performed pieces about relevant and pressing topics while invited guest speakers shared their experiences and knowledge.

A big thank you to the SPEAKout organizers for inviting me to document the event. I am honoured to be part of the family.

I hope you like what you see.
