I had the honor of covering the very first Naseeha Gala held at the Liberty Grand in Toronto. It’s safe to say that this gala was the classiest and well organized event I covered in 2015. Great speakers, great food, and amazing entertainment. If you’d like more information about Naseeha, follow the link: http://www.naseeha.org/ I hope you […]
Many people have ask me how I got into photography. To my friends, it seemed a bit strange, seeing that I am a mechanical engineer. The first SLR I bought was a Canon Rebel. I bought it simply because I wanted to buy a new toy. In the back of my head I figured I would play around with the camera for a little while and then eventually store it in a drawer somewhere and let it collect dust.
So, I took the Rebel with me to a couple events and posted the images on Facebook. My dear friends said that they loved the images and that I should keep shooting. I am pretty sure that the pictures did not deserve the praise that I was getting but fueled by the blind faith of my friends I continued to cover various events and I eventually realized that I truly loved being a photographer.
I consider myself very lucky to have found something that I love to do every day.
I'd like to thank everyone that has helped me on my ongoing journey. I cherish the pats on the head I get from my parents while editing, the encouraging words from my friends and all the high fives, props handshakes and what's up nods.
Wouldn't be here without you.
